Leave it to Acer to announce the most insane gaming computer of the year.

As part of its IFA Berlin event on Wednesday, the company showed us the Acer Predator Orion 9000, a gaming desktop computer whose list of features sounds more like describing a pro-grade server than a gaming machine.

The Orion 9000 is placed in a heavy, industrial-looking case with a window on the side and meshed metal on the front, back, and top. The mesh helps with the cooling system, which is a combination of liquid and air cooling, with different parts of the computer compartmentalized into different cooling zones to allow for best cooling performance. The entire computer is actually semi-portable, with wheels on the back so you don't have to throw your back while lugging it from one place to another.

Now, about those specs. The Orion 9000 comes with an 18-core Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition processor, up to 128GB of quad-channel, DDR4 RAM, up to four graphics cards, and up to 44 terabytes of storage.

The computer can be had with either AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics cards or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti cards — both options will surely be enough to power whichever game you play, on whichever resolution you choose.

Acer says the price for this monster will start at a reasonable $2,000 - $3,000, but that will likely climb up fast if you opt for the more powerful variants. The Orion 9000 should become available in the EMEA region in November, followed by a U.S. launch in December.

In addition to the Orion 9000, Acer also introduced the Predator X35, a 35-inch, curved, 21:9 HDR monitor with a 3,440x1,440 pixel resolution. It has a 4ms response rate and a 200Hz refresh rate, which should make sure your games are looking sharp and smooth.

Like other hardware from Acer's Predator line, the X35 is styled aggressively — it probably won't be the best fit for an office but it should feel at home in a gamer's den.

The Acer Predator X35 display will hit the market in the first quarter of 2018.
