Run for your lives! A Post-It War has begun in NYC

Ad agencies are using every post-it available to wage war against their enemies.

They have fought wars with drones, with atom bombs and now, advertisers have invented an even more deadly weapon -- Post-it notes.

Canal Street in New York City is home to some of the city's best advertising agencies and most mediocre Chinese food. In the past week, agencies on the street have staged an elaborate Post-it war on their company windows, hoping to "out Post-it" their competitors. The art produced defies all office supply expectations.

The war started after one agency aggressively post-it(ed) the word: "Hi." Shortly after, an office supply war was started.

Using the hashtag #postitwar and #canalnotes, Havas Worldwide, Horizon Media, Cake Group, Biolumina, Getty, and Harrison and Star have created some masterful works of Post-it art. Take a look at advertising dollars at work:
