Adele's partner literally showered her with love notes for their anniversary

Love can be expressed in a multitude of ways: oranges, Chick-Fil-A fries and billboards. But Adele's beau might have just upped the anti with a spectacular surprise at the singer's Monday night performance in Nashville to celebrate their anniversary.

At the end of the concert, customized white confetti usually explodes from the stage and each slip of paper features a handwritten lyric. However on Monday night, fans and Adele were treated to something a little different—pink confetti with love notes to Adele from her partner, Simon Konecki.

"This confetti normally is white," Adele exclaimed before waving her goodbyes to the audience. She seemed hilariously oblivious at the moment that it was pink to celebrate her fifth year anniversary with Konecki.
