Adele freaks out mid-concert when a beetle decides it wants a better seat

'It's my number one fan.'

Adele has found her number one fan and it's not who you would expect.

In the middle of her Auckland concert, a beetle crawled onto the the singer's leg. After frantically getting rid of the insect, Adele curled into the fetal position in a fit of laughter.

She made light of the hilarious freak out with a joke about the Beatles, saying, "I wanted to say to you the Beatles were gone, and then I thought maybe they got swept up in my dress."

"It's coming back to haunt me. It's my number one fan," joked Adele as the beetle continued to crawl on the stage.

Because Adele is Adele, people reacted with a mixture of delight and genuine jealousy for the insect who had managed to get so close to the singer.

For a few short moments, that beetle had the best seat in the house.
