Soccer star Alex Morgan celebrates her goal against England by sipping tea
The U.S. women's national soccer team continues to dominate at the World Cup, only adding to England's annoyance at their lack of "etiquette."
American star Alex Morgan celebrated her goal against the British team during the World Cup semifinals on Tuesday with something more spiteful than a middle finger: She mimed sipping tea, pinky up and everything.
It's an especially victorious jab leading up to the Fourth of July, considering the Continental Congress voted for independence from the British on this day 243 years ago.

Twitter went wild, and it didn't take long for the Independence Day patriotism to come through.

Not everyone was happy, though. The UK's national Unnecessarily Loud Man Piers Morgan voiced his displeasure.

Britain in general is not a fan of the U.S. player's wins. The Daily Mail ran a two-page spread accusing the American women of being "too arrogant," and claimed that the team lacked "etiquette" expected on the field.
"The U.S. have something of an image problem," the Daily Mail piece complained.

In addition to whining about manners, England's coach Phil Neville accused the American team of spying on his team's strategies. The conflict came up when the USWNT administrative staff visited the Fourvière Hotel, where the team will stay if they make it to the World Cup finals on Sunday. The English team is currently lodging at the same hotel, and Neville told the BBC the move will "have no bearing on the game," but said "it's not something" he'd want his team to do.
"I actually found it quite funny," he said. "I just thought: 'What are they doing?' It's not etiquette really, is it?"
It only added to the mocking from Twitter users.

Alex Morgan also turned 30 on Tuesday. A victory tea party isn't a bad way to celebrate.
