Alexis Bledel joins Hulu's 'The Handmaid's Tale' as a rebel sex slave
Gilmore Girls' Alexis Bledel is crushing the streaming game, moving from Netflix to Hulu with a confirmed role in the upcoming The Handmaid's Tale.
Bledel will play Ofglen, an ally to Elizabeth Moss's Offred. Both women are oppressed in the dystopic society of Gilead, where a class of women are subjugated and used only for reproduction. Though Ofglen initially seems obedient in her servitude, there's more to her than meets the eye.
The Handmaid's Tale will be 10 episodes and is based on Margaret Atwood's 1985 novel of the same name. Atwood is a producer on the show, which premieres on April 26.
