They're stomping back with the vengeance.

Following in the footsteps of films from yesteryear like Star Wars and Back to the Future, nostalgia merchandise from Aliens is making a comeback.

The 1986 sequel directed by James Cameron starred Sigourney Weaver reprising her role as the alien-battling badass Ellen Ripley. She wore a custom-made pair of super hightop Reebok Alien Stompers that made for one of the biggest fashion statements of any film ever.

The high tops will be released on April 26, which Fox has designated "Alien Day" in the vein of the Star Wars franchise's takeover of May 4. In Ridley Scott's original film, Alien, Ripley and her crew first discovered the killer parasitic species with the acid blood on planet LV-426. (Or 4/26. Meaning April 26. Get it?) Hence the holiday and marketing extravaganza.

The exact replica will be released in limited quantities in addition to a mid-top version that was worn by Lance Henriksen, who played the android Bishop in the sequel.

It's not the first time the shoes were made available to the public. Because of popular demand, the shoes were available for purchase a year after the movie was released.

To grab your own pair, go to Reebok.com or Reebok stores worldwide on April 26.
