Traffic at Cypress Point Parkway and Cypress Edge Drive in Palm Coast, Florida, was briefly halted on Monday morning by deputies for the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. There was an alligator that really just needed to cross the road.

The gator was approximately five feet long, and was being monitored by the Sheriff's office when it suddenly headed towards the street, and used the crosswalk to get to the other side.

A trapper was called from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, but the gator made it safely to a wooded area, so it was cancelled.
At least it used the crosswalk. Safety first, kids.
