Amazon deal of the day: The Kindle Paperwhite is just $5 shy of its record-low Black Friday price

Released back in October, the long-awaited upgrade immediately jumped to the top of our list of the best Kindles. Not only is it compact and lightweight, but it also features a responsive interface with adjustable warmth that's good for your eyes and is the fastest Kindle yet. It's also waterproof, for those who like to read at the beach or in the bathtub. Usually $159.99, it's on sale for just $134.99 as of Dec. 10. That's not quite as good as its Black Friday discount (just a $5 difference), but definitely still worth a grab.

Sonos Roam 2
We haven't had the pleasure of testing out the Sonos Roam 2, but we did try out the first generation and loved the sleek and portable speaker. Mashable's Alex Perry called the first rendition "an endearing and great-sounding portable speaker that you can use in just about any way you want," and gave it the coveted Mashable Choice award. The second-generation speaker doesn't fix what isn't broken. It adds small updates like a dedicated Bluetooth button, a new charging cable, and some battery improvements. It's usually $179, but as of Dec. 10, it's back down to its all-time low of $139 at Amazon. That's 22% in savings.
