How do you write the joke that goes on too long -- on purpose?
Arguably the funniest moment in Angry Birds comes when Red, Chuck and Bomb are journeying to find the Mighty Eagle. Much to Red's irritation -- pretty much everything is to Red's irritation, but that's kind of the idea -- Chuck and Bomb are imagining what the Eagle's battle-cry might sound like.
And imagining. And imagining.

It's a take on the classic oh-my-god-this-is-still-going gag, and it works pretty well here, all thanks to some subtle touches from director Fergal Reilly, an Irish animation vet making his debut with the Rovio Animation film out this weekend.
