Shooting survivor Selene San Felice didn't hold back in response to President Trump's thoughts and prayers.

A gunman opened fire on local Annapolis, Maryland newspaper the Capital Gazette on Thursday, killing five people. In response, the president tweeted his now standard "thoughts and prayers." That's not enough for shooting survivor and staff writer Selene San Felice.

"I have heard that president Trump sent his prayers," Felice told Anderson Cooper on CNN Thursday evening. "I'm not trying to make this political, right? But we need more than prayers. I appreciate the prayers. I was praying the entire time I was under that desk. I want your prayers, but I want  something else."

Later in the interview, San Felice got extremely blunt about how she felt about gun violence in America, and how quickly the public moves on after such tragedies.

'Thanks for your prayers, but I couldn't give a fuck about them if there's nothing else.'

"This is going to be a story for how many days? Less than a week. People will forget about us after a week unless we keep tweeting. I don't really care about tweeting right now," she said.

"... I'm going to need more than a couple days of news coverage and some thoughts and prayers, because it's our whole lives have been shattered. And so thanks for your prayers, but I couldn't give a fuck about them if there's nothing else."

CNN did not censor San Felice's strong language. Good.
