Yes, your dog notices that you take a lot of pictures of it. No, it's not cool.

If you've never gotten the feeling that your pup has grown tired of being the primary subject of your Instagram, this photo series just might help you spot the warning signs.

German photographer Elke Vogelsang's latest series of canine portraits is called "Dogs questioning the photographer’s sanity."

Vogelslang, a photographer of both people and pets, has pulled the series from outtakes of her other shoots. Drawn to the seemingly human expressions on the dogs' faces, Vogelslang noticed that they all could be viewed as looking skeptical of the photographer.

Of course, in reality the dogs are merely excited by a treat or a toy.

"Mostly these pictures were achieved by pretending to throw a toy or treat or actually throwing one. That way the dog is expecting the toy or treat to come it's way and is looking in anticipation," Vogelslang tells Mashable.

"Of course, these are snapshots, a moment in time, captured in a fraction of a second. Often we have our own interpretation of those expressions... Like all dog lovers I’m guilty of humanizing them," the photographer wrote in a post on BoredPanda.

Still though, these dogs look really annoyed.
