Ansel Elgort's cover of the unofficial 'La La Land' anthem is the song you didn't know you needed

No word on whether he's planning on opening a jazz club in L.A.

Need a pick-me-up to get you through the day? Ansel Elgort is here for you.

The actor—and EDM DJ turned burgeoning pop star—gave the world exactly what it was missing all this time: a cover of Ryan Gosling's song "City of Stars" from the film that didn't win Best Picture at the Oscars, La La Land.

A crystal necklace dangling from his neck and an awesome shirt on his body, Elgort plays a piano while crooning along to the film's gentlest number, a far cry from his track "Thief."

No word on whether or not he's planning on opening a jazz club in LA.
