The iPhone 7 is about to drop, which means Apple will finally put the many rumors surrounding the phone to rest.

Apple's launch event -- which will be held on Sept. 7 in San Francisco -- will introduce the much anticipated new iPhone, along with potential other updated Apple products like a redesigned Apple Watch or new MacBook.

In addition to the official launch of iOS 10 -- which Apple unveiled back in June at its Worldwide Developers Conference -- the event will certainly be the first official look at the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which appeared to leak out a day early via an accidental update to one of Apple's websites.

In case you need a refresher before the big day, here are the iPhone 7 rumors ranked from most to least likely:

1. Bye-bye, headphone jack

One of the most talked about (and controversial) iPhone 7 rumors is that Apple plans to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It is believed that Apple could be designing wired headphones that would connect to the iPhone 7 using the Lightning port. Those completely against Lightning port headphones would be able to use good old Bluetooth headphones, which would connect wirelessly or connect regular headphones via some kind of dongle. Either way, killing the headphone jack is a huge move that will change the iPhone as we know it.

2. Camera upgrade

Though the iPhone 7 is expected to continue using the iPhone's standard single-lens camera, many expect the larger iPhone 7 Plus to feature dual-camera design. It is anticipated to include an ambient light sensor for better photo quality and two 12-megapixel lenses -- one for telephoto functions and one for wide-angle views.

3. New A10 chip, with better RAM

Apple tends to upgrade its chips on a yearly schedule, and rumors have been flying about an expected performance boost from the current A9/A9X processor. The new chip will likely be called the A10, and alleged information about it was posted to Weibo by GeekBar (via MacRumors). In addition, the iPhone 7 is expected to have 2GB of RAM and the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to have 3GB.

4. Increased storage capacity

The iPhone 7 is also expected to have a significantly higher storage capacity. Capacity is expected to start at a minimum of 32GB, increase to 128GB and have a maximum capacity of an impressive 256GB. You know what that means... the puny little 16GB iPhone could finally be let go.

5. No more antenna lines

Say goodbye to those antenna lines running across the back of your phone. Based on leaked photos, the anticipated new iPhone has redesigned and much tidier antenna lines, which is likely related to the serious camera improvements (especially on the iPhone 7 Plus).

6. Lightning headphones and dongle included

Though this rumor is in no way confirmed, a document that appeared on Techtastic.nl showed details of an "iPhone 7 Plus" that includes "EarPods with Lightning connector." Due to the heavily anticipated "no headphone jack" iPhone 7 rumors, a logical accompanying rumor suggests that Apple is developing Lightning "EarPods" that will allow people to listen to music via the phone's Lightning port and will also include a dongle adapter to connect your regular headphones.

7. No stereo speakers on bottom, but earpiece can act as a speaker

Though leaked schematics in a report from Nowhereelse.fr revealed that the iPhone 7 will most likely not have stereo speakers, as previously anticipated, the earpiece will act as a second speaker, according to reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

8. Water resistance

Just like the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and new Galaxy Note7, it's believed Apple will take a crack at introducing water-resistant new iPhones, also according to Kuo. If so, the phones would likely be able to be submerged in up to 5 feet of water for around 30 minutes.

9. 5 colors, including 'piano black'

Apple is reportedly switching up their traditional colors just in time for the iPhone 7. It is rumored that Apple will get rid of the classic "Space Gray" color and offer two new colors, including "Dark Black" and "Piano Black."

10. Wireless charging

In addition to faster charging, wireless charging could be in store for the iPhone 7. If the Lightning port is occupied with headphones, ideally there would be an alternate method of charging and this hardware enhancement could be the perfect solution.

11. Touch-sensitive, non-clicking home button

The biggest change yet could be coming for the iPhone's home button. According to a rumor on MobiPicker, the new iPhone 7 home button could potentially no longer be clickable, and instead, feature touch-sensitive technology.

Rather than swiping to unlock, iOS 10 has a new method for unlocking your phone by using the home button. So it's possible that Apple may have more in store for the vital button in relation to the new iPhone 7.

12. Additional large-size model, iPhone Pro, with smart connector

Though many are expecting the release of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, there have been rumors of Apple introducing three possible models at its event. Photographs uncovered by Nowherelse.fr feature a possible (even larger) iPhone 7 "Pro."

The rumored third model included dual-cameras along with a three-dot smart connector -- which is believed to connect to accessories, etc. This one, however, doesn't seem all that credible.

Unfortunately, all this intense speculation will still need to burn for another day. Have no fear, Sept. 7 is almost here.
