Do the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus live up to the hype?
It's been a really crazy week in tech for the two largest smartphone makers. Samsung's best smartphone, the Galaxy Note7, is being recalled due to faulty batteries that are causing them to explode. That is, no doubt, a gift to Apple, which announced its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and new Apple Watch Series 2.
Joining me on this week's episode of MashTalk is Mashable Tech Editor Pete Pachal and, for the first time, our Deputy Tech Editor Damon Beres.
First up, we assess the Note7 disaster. Damon, previously a Note 5 user, actually bought a Note7 and he's been having trouble getting Verizon to replace it with one that won't potentially explode. Will he ever get it replaced or is he switching to iPhone?

Pete attended Apple's big iPhone 7 and Apple Watch launch event on Wednesday in San Francisco and was able to play with all of the company's new gadgets, including the controversial new wireless AirPods. We argue if they look cool or stupid.
Of course, the biggest topic regarding the new iPhones is the removal of the headphone jack. Good idea or bad? And what does it mean for future iPhones? Pete recaps all of the new features on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in detail.
And finally, we talk about the updated Apple Watch Series 2, which looks just like the old one!
