Apple may have radicalized its product by eliminating the headphone jack from the next-generation iPhone, but one major thing is staying consistent: They're pricey.

The iPhone 7 is priced at $649 for 32GB, $749 for 128GB and $849 for 256GB.

The iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769 for 32GB and also sells for $869 for 128GB and $969 for 256GB.

The phones are available in a new all black model in addition to rose gold, silver and gold, Apple announced along with the prices and specs at an event in San Francisco Wednesday.

For those who choose or have the Apple's iPhone upgrade plan (which guarantees a new iPhone every year and AppleCare+ protection), the pricing is $27 and $32 per month. The program is available in the United States, UK and China.

Apple will continue selling the iPhone SE ($399 for 16 GB), iPhone 6S ($549) and iPhone 6S Plus ($649). The SE is the only available model offering 16GB storage.

Preorders for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus start Sept. 9. The devices will start shipping on Sept. 16.

The new iPhone boxes will include Lightning EarPods and a Lightning adapter dongle for an audio jack.

Apple will sell its own AirPods for $159 starting in late October. Apple-owned Beats also introduced three new options for the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
