Apple Maps has been down for hours today, and the outage is impacting plenty of iPhone and Mac users.

When users search for a location, the results either say "loading" with a perpetually spinning wheel (on a Mac), that the network connection was lost, directions are not available, or no results were found.

Apple confirmed the outage on its system status page.

"All users are affected," the live system status page reads for both Maps Search and Maps Routing & Navigation, and from the looks of Twitter reactions, that means the outage is worldwide. "Users are experiencing a problem with this service. We are investigating this issue."

People around the world haven't hesitated to go online to express their ire with the malfunctioning app:

Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

UPDATE: June 15, 2018, 1:28 p.m. EDT The official system status website now says the issue is resolved. It reads: "We investigated and resolved this issue."
