It utilizes Dolby Atmos which aims to give you a 3D sound experience, so long as your TV can support Dolby Atmos.
The Arc is also great for hearing crisp and clear dialogue, which is a major complaint with many speakers that come built into TVs. Plus, you can enable Speech Enhancement in the Sonos app.
