How low can you go? MacBook Airs with unexpected price drops, starting at $799
SAVE UP TO 38%: Both the Apple MacBook Air M3 and the Apple MacBook Air M4 have hit new all-time low prices. The 15-inch M3 (8GB RAM, 256GB) comes in at $799, down from its normal price of $1,299, and the 13-inch M4 (16GB RAM, 256GB) comes in at $849, down from the standard price of $999.
We've all been stressed about fluctuating tariffs and higher prices in pretty much every aspect of life. So, when we spot some of the best laptops hitting record-low prices, we're both elated and also perplexed. Regardless of emotions, the numbers don't lie — now is a really great time to grab a new Apple MacBook Air.
As of April 29, the most affordable option is the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air (M3, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $799 at B&H Photo, down from the standard price of $1,299, which works out to a 38% discount that saves you $500.
You can also go with the latest model and score a 13-inch Apple MacBook Air (M4, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $849 at Amazon, down from the normal price of $999. That works out to a 15% discount that'll save you $150, matching the lowest price we've ever seen there.
Why are MacBooks Airs dropping in price? It's anyone's guess, but we'll take it, especially in this economy. The MacBook Air with an M4 processor was only just released in March, so seeing it discounted this much less than two months after launch is ultra-exciting.
Mashable Senior Editor Stan Schroeder was impressed with the latest M4 model and wrote in his review, "The new MacBook Air is great. It's powerful, silent, and comes with a couple of much-needed upgrades. It's also cheaper than before, making it the best-buy Apple laptop, period."
Since the most affordable M4 variant is just $50 more than the cheapest M3 one (while they're both on sale), grabbing the M4 seems like a no-brainer. It also comes with double the RAM — 16GB instead of the M3's 8GB. However, the $849 sale price on the M4 MacBook Air applies to the 13-inch model. If you're all about screen size, the 15-inch MacBook Air with M3 processor for $799 might be your best bet. But keep in mind, MacBooks are well known as fantastic laptops, so you can't go wrong with either pick here.
