Ariana Grande's mom was spotted comforting fans during the Manchester benefit concert

Hugs for everyone at #OneLoveManchester

Most eyes were glued to the stage during Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert this past Sunday, but there was a bit of magic happening in the crowd too.

Joan Grande, Ariana's mother, was making her way through the audience, according to tweets, and offering words of comfort to fans who showed up for the tribute.

"Ariana Grande's mum is strolling through the crowd telling fans: 'do not be afraid,'" journalist Helen Pidd tweeted.

A father tweeted that his daughter met Grande's mother, and is refusing to wash her hands after the chance encounter.

"What a night!," Joan tweeted Monday morning, following the show. "Thank you Manchester for welcoming us back with open arms! The fortitude of your city is extraordinary."

Grande's mom has been vocal following the deadly Manchester attack after Grande's show last month. "I stand with you all in the face of evil and we stand together to never let it rule our lives! Thank you to all those who helped in any way that night in Manchester," Joan tweeted over Memorial Day weekend.

Similarly, her brother, Frankie Grande, has taken to social media to express his feelings about the benefit concert and his sister, Ariana. "I don't think I've ever been as proud of my little sister as I am right now," he wrote on Instagram.

"What a remarkable return after such a challenging time... and what incredible support, by the artists who joined her, the audience who watched and the many many men and women who protected us all today so that one love could be the remarkable success that it was," he said.
