It's tough to keep up with jargon when the internet moves so fast.

Pop star Ariana Grande announced Saturday that she had learned what "oomf" meant ("one of my friends" or "one of my followers"). Knowledge is power, and Grande expressed an immediate feeling of empowerment.

Grande then delighted in using the term liberally, with gems like "oomf is my mom" (not false!). She also compared herself to an evolving Pokémon, because even international celebrities have room for growth.

As one reply pointed out, Grande can now use "oomf" to subtweet her own fan base or friend group. She could easily tweet things like "oomf is a jerk" or "so over oomf," but she had a positive spin on that too:

Ariana, if you were one of our followers, we'd say "oomf" is a ray of sunshine. Keep learning and making stan Twitter proud.
