Friday was a big day for Ariana Grande fans.

Not only did the singer post a brand new music video for her song, "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored", but she also dropped her latest album, "thank u, next".

Twitter quickly exploded into a frenzy of retweets and reactions.

One moment from the music video, in particular, caught a lot of people's attention: the "twist" at the very end.

Basically, the story goes something like this: all through the video, it's implied that Grande is interesed in a man who appears to be with a woman who looks similar to Grande. At the very end, though, it's the woman that Grande comes close to kissing.

A Twitter Moment about the "unexpected twist" contained some of the excited reactions.

But not everyone felt that way.

A number of people suggested that Grande may be "queerbaiting" in the video.

This isn't the only time Grande's videos have received criticism.

Back in January, for instance, her teaser for "7 Rings" was called out by some for its use of Japanese culture.

Mashable has reached out to Grande's representatives, and we will updated this article if we receive a response.
