Armie Hammer to make Broadway debut in 'Straight White Men'
Call Me By Your Name star Armie Hammer will make his Broadway debut in 2018. Hammer will play the lead in Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men, directed by Anna D. Shapiro at the Helen Hayes Theatre in New York City.
Straight White Men, which premiered in 2014, is a father-son drama about a man named Ed and his three adult sons spending Christmas together, per Playbill. As the title suggests, there are plenty of identity politics and a probing conversation about what it means to be a straight white man in this day and age.
Straight White Men is scheduled to premiere in previews on June 29 and open wide July 23. Call Me By Your Name is currently playing in select theaters.
