Shudder. April Fools' Day is upon us. The one day when you can't trust anybody, not even the person who gave birth to you and put you through college.

It's also the one and only day when brand marketing peeps gleefully get to put their "evil genius" minds to work to come up with the best possible "gotcha" pranks to get our knickers in a twist.

Jetstar adopts Singlish as official language

What's the one way to become the choice airlines for Singaporeans? Speak their language, of course.

Budget airline Jetstar released a video announcing its decision to adopt Singapore's creole as its official language on March 31, and man did it get the whole nation excited, although not for long.

It was confirmed on Friday morning that the whole campaign was just an elaborate joke lah.

Got some unexplainable X-Files stuff going on at home? Well, I guess you won't be calling the Ghostbusters gang, since you can now have your own ghost-catching device courtesy of Sony.

The aptly-named Proton Pack weights 6.66 kg (14.68 pounds), and allows its user to capture ectoplasmic matter in 960 frames-per-second high frame rates and accurately record its movements. Oh, this state-of-the-art equipment is water and slime-proof too.

A Japanese pharmaceutical company called Tsuitachi Pharmaceuticals spent years developing Nonara, an air purification oral supplement.

Long story short, stinky farts are the bane of everyone's existence. With Nonara, you just pop a pill everyday and your farts can smell like cherry blossoms or vanilla beans. Far out.

The company, product and promotional materials were created by RocketNews -- could have fooled us!

Broccoli-flavoured frozen yoghurt

Our fave froyo chain llaollao has gone down the healthy veggie route with the launch of a new flavour: Broccoli.

We're not sure how this new flavour will go down with our choice toppings of Oreo crunch and Chococrock sauce. Our stomach are already doing flips -- not from excitement, but more so in warning that we'll regret this after.

We don't really know why, but we just love the action of flicking things. Someone at Google Japan must love that too, which is why they've come up with Furikku, an open-sourced physical flick keyboard.

Basically, the Bluetooth device is the hardware version of Google's Japanese input software for Android, which requires a tap and a flick in one of four directions to input a character.
