It's August and climate change deniers/trolls are clearly out and about, as a grim exchange between physicist Professor Brian Cox and climate change denier Malcom Roberts shows.

Another astrophysicist had to face off trolls after she shared on Twitter her worries over the consequences of climate change:

Dr. Katherine J. Mack is based at the University of Melbourne and currently holds a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) on the topic: “Dark matter particle physics and the first sources of light in the universe.”

So she kind of knows what she's talking about. But clearly that wasn't enough for a particular guy:

To which Mack had this burning reply:

Twitter was all over the burn:

Even J.K. Rowling bowed in homage to Mack's response:

And for those who are interested, this is Mack's full CV:

I am currently holding a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) from the Australian Research Council on the topic: "Dark matter particle physics and the first sources of light in the universe."

I am based at the University of Melbourne in the Astrophysics Group, part of theSchool of Physics.Previously, I held a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the STFC at the University of Cambridge in the Kavli Institute for Cosmology / Institute of Astronomy.

I received my PhD in astrophysics atPrinceton University and my undergraduate degree in physics at Caltech. My research has mainly been in particle physics, cosmology and theoretical astrophysics. My PhD thesis was on connections between early universe theory and astronomical observation with Professor Paul Steinhardt.
