Asus may not be the first name on your mind when you think of "smartphone manufacturer," but the company has been consistently producing solid, beautiful phones that are often on par, specs-wise, with flagships from Samsung and Huawei.

The freshly improved Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe goes a step further and basically takes the crown of the most powerful Android smartphone available -- if you look at specs alone, that is.

Asus announced the ZenFone 3 range at this year's Computex trade show in May -- and most of the specs haven't changed since then. But one little thing did: According to Engadget, the top-of-the-line ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first phone to get Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 821 chipset.

So here are the full specs for the most powerful ZenFone 3 variant: a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 821 chip with Adreno 530 graphics, 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage (expandable via microSD cards), a 23-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel selfie cam, a 5.7-inch, a 1080p Super AMOLED screen, and a 3,000mAh battery.

Other tidbits include dual-SIM support, Quick Charge 3.0 technology, laser autofocus, fingerprint sensor and an all-metal design with an invisible antenna.

Of course, we don't know how the device performs in actual use, but we'd be surprised if it were anything but speedy.

The most powerful ZenFone 3 Deluxe will cost around $780 when it becomes available sometime after August. The other two variants, which sport the 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820, and come with either 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 4GB with 32GB storage, will come to Taiwan and Hong Kong in August at the price of $560 and $500, respectively.
