Australian 'Bachelor' contestant eats rose instead of accepting it
The latest season of The Bachelor Australia was just unleashed upon the country and the first episode was weird/delightful as hell. And not just because one contestant decided to accept her rose by chowing down on its supple petals.
Opening the show with "G'day" is obviously a contractual obligation. How else would the viewing public know that our ex-Bachelorette contestant-cum-Bachelor, Richie is uniquely Australian.
The lady contestants ticked all the boxes; mostly white and willing to spend a whole evening drinking champagne, only to be told they're interesting enough to continue group-dating a guy who has a nervous laugh like a pensioner holding in a fart.

But the woman who outshone all others during the premiere, rising like a phoenix from the ashes of champagne induced girl fights, was Russian contestant Sasha. Why? Only because she literally ate her rose after accepting it.
Perhaps because she saw it as a physical manifestation of the bachie's love? Or maybe she forgot that there's a slight but important grammatical difference between a rose and rosé ?
