A truck carrying a shipment of Axe body spray caught fire on a Texas interstate Friday morning, causing cans of the infamous deodorant to explode and coat the atmosphere with the scent of middle school boys who don't know any better.

In the wake of the explosion, reported by local news station WDRB in Belton, Texas, the highway was shut down for more than eight hours to clean up all the debris. Luckily nobody was injured in the incident.

Take a look at the mess caused by hundreds of aerosol cans:

Axe body spray (also known as Lynx in the UK) has garnered a pretty poor reputation among most people who've been assaulted by its often overbearing and rarely pleasant scents.

Its absurd advertisements, targeted at straight young men, often portray the spray as a sort of magnet for women. It's even used the tagline "spray more, get more," which implies the more you use, the better you'll smell and the more women you'll attract.

Of course, upon hearing the news about the explosion, people on Twitter had some hilarious reactions.

There were some easy jabs at the tendencies of middle schoolers to use Axe.

Others imagined a more realistic situation.

But mostly people are just happy to hear there's a little less Axe in the world.
