Baby alpaca gets stuck in ground, seems content to wait for help
It can take a village to raise a child, but it only takes one hole to trap a baby alpaca.
In Menomonie, Wisconsin, on a small farm, an alpaca that had broke off from its pack was thought to be missing for 24 hours before it was finally found, nonchalantly peeking out of a hole.

The tiny alpaca struggled for a bit trying to escape, wriggling and squealing. However, it only took a few digs of the shovel from a farmhand to get the alpaca free.
The Farm facebook page mentions alpacas highly enjoy rolling around in the dirt, taking dust baths, and most likely this little guy slid into a badger hole and trapped itself.
Rest assured, the alpaca is perfectly okay now and reunited with its mother.
Run free alpaca. Frolic with your mother and go achieve all your dreams (but try to avoid any ditches and dried up ponds).
