Zoo finds out gorilla is pregnant -- after the baby is born
It can be gauche to ask a woman if she's pregnant -- especially if that woman is a gorilla.
Shinda is a 24-year-old gorilla who lives in the Prague Zoo. Over the past few months, zookeepers noticed that Shinda had been putting on some weight. Her caretakers didn't think until anything of it, until Shinda gave birth to a baby Saturday afternoon.

Whoops.
Shinda had been pregnant multiple times before, but each pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. Officials didn't think it was possible for Shinda to carry, so the baby's birth caught them by total surprise.
"It seems that a miracle happens from time to time," Zoo Director Miroslav Bobek said in a statement.
The baby is reportedly healthy and visibly adorable.
