SAN DIEGO -- Baby Groot is out of his pot and running wild in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 -- and the world is gonna go nuts for him. The crowd at Comic-Con did, anyway.

Marvel Studios revealed a generous reel of footage from the Guardians sequel at their Saturday night Hall H panel, and now the plant is out of the bag: Groot is still just a lil' guy in the big galaxy.

Though he's only 6 or 8 inches tall, Groot is ambulatory, sentient and no wallflower. But he's still having a little trouble grasping language.

In one scene, Baby Groot is trying to bust Yondu and Rocket Raccoon out of a Ravagers' cell. As their captors sleep, Yondu and Rocket are trying to explain to Groot what it is that they need to get out -- and he keeps bringing back the wrong things.

Once they're finally loose, the trio begin rampaging through the Ravagers' ship, and Groot -- who can still rapidly grow strong tendrils as needed -- gets in on the action.

It's both extremely violent and extremely cute. Kinda like the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise -- which also revealed a new logo Saturday night:
