Leprechaun may not be real, but one family is trying to keep the folklore alive.

Alan Lawrence is a Utah-based father of five. He has also reached peak dad with a series of baby photos perfect for St. Patrick's Day.

Known for turning his disgustingly adorable baby into an Elf on a Shelf, Lawrence's newest photo series depicts his six-month-old son Rockwell as a mischievous little leprechaun.

"I've always thought it would be funny to tell a story about a Holiday character coming to [life] with a family in a real life setting," Lawrence told Mashable in an email. "Shortly after Rockwell was born everyone started calling him our little elf because he was so small. That's when I got the idea [for Elf on a Shelf]. We had so much fun shooting the elf pictures that we decided to continue the story."

Lawrence said Rockwell doesn't seem to mind dressing up and enjoys being in photos, though there is one element the baby doesn't love.

"He doesn't seem to mind the costume except for the beard," Lawrence said. "It usually ends up in his mouth at some point and I'm sure it doesn't taste awesome."

Luckily, Rockwell will be after his Lucky Charms before ever getting too full on fake beard hair.

As for the settings that the leprechaun photos take place in, Lawrence bases them on Rockwell's daily life.

"We usually pick the various scenes by just noticing different things that happen thought our day," he explains. "Then we think about how an elf or leprechaun might react to that scene."

According to the photos, leprechauns are pretty mischievous and sassy little guys.

Lawrence says he has multiple new thematic photo shoots planned for the rest of the year, so look out for plenty of new, mini characters.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Lawrence family. Hope everyone finds a pot of gold. Or beer.
