These nerds sure know how to throw a party.

Erlich Bachman and Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti officially unveiled their newly-formed venture capital firm Bachmanity last weekend with an elaborately staged launch party.

And it was a party that sent a clear message: The duo plans to spare no expense when it comes to their latest entrepreneurial effort.

The Hawaiian-themed rager -- which took place inside the grim, crumbling walls of a former high-security island prison just off the city's coast -- was, as the invitation promised, rife with insanity.

If you weren't lucky enough to score an exclusive invitation to the event, here are five of the main attractions you missed out on. (Oh, and don't worry: There will likely be plenty more parties hosted by Big Head and Bachman.)

1. Hawaiian heaven

Pukka shells and roasted pigs and flamethrowers, oh my! Attendees were pretty much hoodwinked into thinking that they were in a tropical paradise, and not, in fact, a decommissioned federal prison that for decades housed murderers and rapists. Bachmanity showed some serious commitment to theme at its macro-luau.

2. One word: Humu'humu'nuku'nuku'apua'a

Via Giphy

So fresh. So breaded. This delicacy must've been flown in fresh from the islands. The price tag that comes with such a lavish move is borderline unimaginable, but surely the wealthy man who formerly ran Hooli's XYZ division doesn’t have to worry his pretty little (okay, big) head about it.

3. Power players

In a culture where launch parties are nothing if not common, an invite to Bachmanity's bash was the season's most coveted. It's not all that surprising given the air of prestige surrounding Bighetti and Bachman's infamous unpredictability. (In fact, many guests wondered if his infamous testicles would make an appearance.) Pied Piper's Richard Hendricks, Aaron "Double A" Anderson of Homicide Energy Drink and high-ranking members of Hooli, just to name a few, were in attendance, sipping Mai Tais and rubbing shoulders (and maybe more, given the venue's many dark corners).

4. Press paradise

A slew of journalists and reporters luxuriated in the exotic setting. All echelons of the industry were present, like low-level tech blogger C.J. Cantwell of Code/Rag -- she was notably seen chugging from a bottle of Tres Comas while draped over a rustic electric chair done up to look like the throne of Liliuokalani, the last queen of Hawaii.

5. A fitting introduction to Bachmanity

If the launch party is at all indicative of Bachmanity's future, the new venture will likely disrupt the tech world in some very interesting ways. As a young and already established star in the industry, Bighetti's latest project seems destined for success. And although Aviato founder and Pied Piper board member Bachman's contributions have yet to be publicly defined, it's easy to be optimistic about the duo's --- and Bachmanity's -- future.
