Have you ever wondered how your favorite band came up with its name?

What's the story behind Papa Roach, Jimmy Eat World, or My Chemical Romance, for instance. And as Twitter user @SiddiqRahamut wants to know, is Charlotte of Good Charlotte even good?

These are important questions, and the tweet above inspired fellow music lovers to reflect on some of their own favorite band's names. Turns out, most names are a mystery and if give them an ounce of thought you'll realize they're likely not meant to be taken literally.

Are the rejects even all American? Was the romance ever actually chemical? Was the veil pierced? Bands, in the issue of transparency, you must tell us.
