Barack Obama and Joe Biden got lunch together, because some bromances never die

"Joe's paying."

Sometimes good things really do last.

Former president Barack Obama and vice president Joe Biden grabbed a quick and casual bite for lunch in Georgetown on Monday — and the libs were in love with the idea that the two still chill. Honestly, most people in D.C. were just looking for any form of distraction.

According to the Washington Post, the two decided to have lunch at Dog Tag Bakery, a nonprofit that helps teach vets, military spouses, and caregivers about the ins and outs of business.

A clip shot from inside the bakery showed the duo ordering, both of them sporting khakis and a button-down shirt. Obama, with his two top buttons unbuttoned, asked questions about the food as an excited crowd loomed in the background of the cafe. He later joked that "Joe’s paying."

The two ate lunch alone together and left shortly after.

I’m a little bit awestruck,” Bakery chief executive Meghan Ogilvie told the Post.

Ogilvie said that she made sure that all 13 of her fellows were present to meet the former heads of the United States.

“They shook every fellow’s hand, hugged them and listened to their stories. It was just a phenomenal scene," she told the Post.

As you can see from the clip embedded below Obama and Biden did not travel covertly. In fact, they pretty much caused a huge — but friendly — scene.

Meanwhile, members of the current administration are having a hard time grabbing a bite to eat in peace.
