It's a tale as old as YouTube: The first full Beauty and the Beast trailer shattered first-day records with its Monday release and became the biggest online trailer debut ever.

Disney's trailer racked up 127.6 million views in its first 24 hours online, and trended on Twitter and YouTube. It doesn't hurt that the film's star Emma Watson has immense online clout -- 27 million views came from her Facebook page.

Beauty and the Beast surpassed online views for Fifty Shades Darker, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Captain America: Civil War and its own May teaser, bookending the top five.
