Not even 48 hours have passed since Disney released its first enchanted full-length trailer for the upcoming live-action film Beauty and the Beast.

Fans who can't get enough of magic, wizardry and talking inanimate objects are already developing a currently impossible-to-debunk theory that some will say it's just a stick, but what if...it was a wand? A complete, utter meltdown. Behold: The image and gif that will make you rethink all you've ever known about Belle.

Hermione, is that you?

Have your eyes deceived you? Nope. That is indeed footage from the Beauty and the Beast trailer. That 'wooden object' Belle appears to be holding? Some say it's just a stick, but what if...it was the wand?

And if we accept the premise that this is a wand, not a stick, then it isn't too much further of a stretch to assume that that's Hermione, not Belle.

Let's list all the reasons why this isn't actually insane: 1. Both Belle and Hermione spend a majority of their time lurking around very large, dark castles. 2. Both wear capes. 3. Both appear very confident in holding pointed wooden objects. 4. Belle is known for being a bookworm and Hermione literally carried a library around in her beaded handbag in Deathly Hallows. 5) Ron and Hermione's daughter was named Rose Granger-Weasley; Beauty and the Beast is centralized around an enchanted rose. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Let's take it a step further. (Yup, we're really going down a conspiracy rabbit hole today.)

Allow your mind to be stretched as we push the limits of your imagination with this fandom theory. What if this fairytale is a mashup of Beauty and the Beast and J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? Belle found a fantastic beast in an enchanted castle all by his lonesome, they fall in love, break the curse and live happily ever after. We ship it.

The naysayers among us might say, "This is a bunch of random coincidences! What is wrong with you? Get a life!" but whether this is just some too-deep theorizing or a subtle hat tip to Emma Watson's early acting days, we can all agree on one thing: more things should have Harry Potter tie-ins.

Emma is certainly in her element.
