Boneheaded tweet from a beauty brand mistakes Whoopi Goldberg for Oprah
As stars flooded the red carpet for the Academy Awards on Sunday evening, one beauty brand decided to capitalize on all the attention with a perfectly timed observation about Oprah Winfrey's tattoos.
The only problem: The star wasn't Oprah; the picture posted along with Total Beauty's tweet was actually of comedian Whoopi Goldberg.
The fact that the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and boycott means that the show's live audience is especially white this year only made the mistake more stupendously dim-witted.
