Benedict Cumberbatch casually drops into comic store dressed as Doctor Strange

Things got surreal in JHU Comic Books on Sunday.

If you happened to own a comic book store, surely your biggest dream would be for a real life superhero to come striding through the doors. 

Well, that's exactly what happened in New York's JHU Comic Books on Sunday, when Benedict Cumberbatch (a.k.a Doctor Strange) took a break from filming to pop in and say hello.

Here's JHU Comic Books' CCTV footage, which shows Cumberbatch posing for the photo above.



Anyone doing a casual bit of Sunday comic book browsing must have had the surprise of their lives.

Someone also captured footage of Cumberbatch filming on the streets of NY over the weekend.

Here he is with Chiwetel Ejiofor doing a weird little run and jump thing:



(We're sure that'll look cooler once they've added in some special effects.)
