Audio fans, look alive — Amazon's October Prime Day sale is here. From Oct. 7 through Oct. 8, you can score discounts on just about everything the retailer has to offer. This pre-Black Friday sale is known for offering up some historically low prices on goodies from tablets to laptops and everything in between, including headphones.
For day one of the event, Amazon has tons of deals on offer, with noise-cancelling headphones coming out especially strong. So far, we've spotted 12 earbuds and headphones deals under $100, as well as significant markdowns on options like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones, Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, and AirPods Max.

Why we like it
Bose may have just released the second generation of their QuietComfort Ultra headphones, but this October Prime Day, we have our eyes on the first generation thanks to their impressive $100 off deal. Though we've seen this markdown before, we still think it's worth checking out: most premium headphones these days are over $400, even on sale. While we don't have a full review on the second-gen QC Ultras just yet, Mashable's Bethany Allard wrote in her first impressions, "If you already own the first-gen Ultras, I feel pretty comfortable already saying that these aren't so different as to be a must-upgrade." In other words, you can grab our favorite noise-cancelling headphones for years running, and get excellent ANC, all-day comfort, and some of the best sound quality available for $329.

Why we like it
While these aren't the newest earbuds on the market (they came out in 2021), at $35, they do offer some of the best bang for your buck on noise-cancelling earbuds. If you can put up with a middling battery life and overly sensitive touch panels, the Echo Buds with ANC are "a steal for anyone who wants to dip their toes into the world of ANC without setting their wallet on fire," as Mashable's Alex Perry wrote in his review.
