My favorite gaming deals from Prime Day 2025: Games, accessories, consoles, and more

2025 has already been a huge year for video games. Between the Nintendo Switch 2 launch and this year's game release schedule, our gaming backlogs are looking downright scary at the moment — not to mention expensive.
Good news, though: Prime Day is still live through 11:59 p.m. PT on Friday, July 11. Amazon's mid-summer sale always marks a great time to pick up everything on your gaming wishlist at a big discount. I've rounded up a list of my top picks below, and I'll be updating it often as the sale progresses (i.e., check back). Struck-through deals were sold out or expired at the time of writing.
I'll also add that Amazon's listings for the Switch 2 and its Mario Kart World bundle finally went live on the first day of Prime Day this Tuesday, July 8 (over a month after the console's official debut, mind you). They're being sold on an invite-only basis because they're still in such high demand, and all shoppers can request invitations, not just Prime members. If your invite is granted, you'll get an email as soon as your Switch is ready to buy.

That's because FFVI is a truly fantastic character action game that combines engaging combat and an intriguing story with the visual spectacle we've come to expect from the series. Mashable's Chance Townsend dubbed this one a "survival horror masterpiece" and "a True Detective-style acid trip" in his 4.75/5 review. It was our No. 1 favorite game of 2023. The Deluxe Edition includes two expansions, some exclusive cosmetics, and a remastered version of the original Alan Wake game so you can play through the entire saga. It's now on sale for just over $38, which is a new record-low price (taking 37% off its $59.99 MSRP). Walmart was matching that deal the last time I checked.

Best Nintendo Switch deal
Why we like it
Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch consoles just don't really come with enough onboard storage for those of us who game regularly. You're eventually going to need a microSD card, so why not get one while they're on sale for Prime Day? Right now, you can snag a 128GB card on Amazon for just $15. (If you need even more storage, the 256GB version is about $23.) Just note that these cards will only work with the original Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED.
