It's no longer the latest and greatest iPad on the shelves, but the 9th generation iPad (WiFi + cellular) is still our top tablet recommendation for most people. It's also one of our top picks for teens. Released in 2021, it packs the A13 chip, which is powerful enough to do all your basic tablet tasks — from browsing TikTok to streaming Netflix to taking notes. We wouldn't recommend it for more extensive tasks like editing 4K videos, but if you just want a tablet that can keep up with your daily activities, this is the one. T-Mobile is currently running a deal on this bad boy when you open a new mobile internet line, which knocks its price down to a record-low $99 (broken down into monthly payments). For comparison, the WiFi-only model reached an all-time low of $249 during Cyber Week. While it may arrive by Christmas via shipping, you can guarantee it by choosing store pickup instead.
