Ah, 2020: the year spent online, our lives largely confined to little video-call boxes.

Thanks to social distancing, nearly everything has been done via Zoom, Google Hangouts, or FaceTime — work meetings, happy hours, live broadcasts, you name it.

With those many hours spent on video calls, there's just so much potential for things to go wrong. And when things go wrong on video, well, of course you're going to get some great viral moments.

With 2020 halfway done — and with the pandemic going nowhere soon — we decided to collect our favorite Zoom and work-from-home moments thus far. Because, why not? And because we might as well get a little enjoyment about our lives lived online. So, anyway, here they are.

1. Children breaking up broadcasts in Britain

At nearly the same exact time on July 1, adorable kids burst into live broadcasts on both the BBC and Sky News. One child fussed with a drawing while another asked for a treat. Amazing stuff.

2. A billboard for a friend's Zoom party

As Mashable's Nikolay Nikolov headlined their article: "We put up a billboard inviting the world to our housemate's Zoom birthday party." Simple enough idea. The result? A great party full of total strangers.

3. Honestly, this one seems staged but it still makes me laugh because I'm dumb

4. Keeping with the underwear theme, just a complete fail with the camera angling

5. Meryl Streep being Meryl damn Streep

6. This little kid rules

7. ESPN's Katie Nolan brilliantly made a game of trying to get a famous person on a group Zoom call

8. A pretty brilliant hack

9. A permanent potato

10. This is just clever

11. And, finally, one that just feels like it can't possibly be real? But maybe?
