Pilots and flight attendants debate the best and worst airports in the world

Before you can get to the place you want to go, you often have to go to the place you'd rather not: the airport.

And if you're flight crew, you can spend hours at airports almost every day.

On a recent AskReddit thread, pilots, flight attendants and the altitude-challenged (a.k.a. the rest of us) debated which are the worst airports on the planet, while also providing some helpful pointers on airports that do a decent job making waiting for a plane less than painful.

The best 

Singapore, frequently a favorite of one of the preeminent airport ranking sites, is unsurprisingly a favorite. The airport does a lot to make layovers not just bearable, but pleasant.
