It wasn't Beto O'Rourke's night.

But despite the defeat to Ted Cruz in the Senate race at the midterm elections, Beto was in a rallying mood during his emotional concession speech.

He also dropped the f-word -- uncensored -- on live TV, telling the crowd to a huge cheer, "I'm so fucking proud of you guys!"

MSNBC's Brian Williams later apologised for what was said, telling viewers that "we have no control over what it's in the concession speeches of various campaigns."

But it's not like the internet cared, with big fans of the f-bomb lining up to declare their loyalty to O'Rourke.

It's certainly an f-word you won't forget. So, how about 2020, Beto?
