Beyoncé's performance at Coachella on Saturday was historic. Not only was she the first woman of color to headline the festival, she may have inadvertently started a grassroots movement for a Beyoncé University.

After Beyoncé Knowles' star-studded, heart-stopping set at Coachella Saturday, fans couldn't help but notice the inspiration she drew from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) for the evening's performance. Using the hashtags #HBeyCU and #Beychella, people were gushing online about the possibility of enrolling in Bey's fictitious school.

Beyoncé's unforgettable performance included a handful of outfits touting her own school and BΔK sorority that would undoubtedly drown in applications all year round.

The performance was in large part a celebration of HBCUs, including a marching band and step show. Even the Beyoncé merch table featured school-themed items for purchase. What's more, the entire set was filled with messages of female empowerment and black excellence.

And of course Bey would be dean/queen of the HBeyCU.

Make sure you apply in time for the 2018-2019 school year.
