LOL, wait: The babies featured in Beyoncé and Jay-Z's tour assets apparently aren't their own

Will the real Sir and Rumi Carter please crawl up?

If you're crazy in love with those recently shared photos of Beyoncé and Jay-Z carrying what appeared to be their twin children, you might want to hold up.

Turns out that the babies the couple's seen holding in projections at their "On The Run II" tour shows aren't Sir and Rumi Carter after all. What?!

On Wednesday, Buzzfeed reported that those cute little babies Bey and Jay are holding ARE NOT THE ROYAL TWINS, but rather, two mystery babies who've fooled fans everywhere.

Per Buzzfeed, when the outlet reached Beyonce's representatives for comment on whether or not the children featured in the images are the couple's own, the response was a simple, "It's not." (Mashable reached out to representatives for the couple and will update should we hear back.)

I guess this means that these kids are just two random babies likely to have the most impressive start to their careers of all time. Cool.

Ahead of this unexpected reveal, the entire internet was buzzing with joy thinking we'd finally snagged a glimpse of the rarely seen Sir and Rumi.

In the aftermath of this reveal, people are shaken to their cores. I mean, imagine having twins of your own, and then hiring other babies to star in your tour assets. That's some deep (and confusing) shit.

Though the babies in those particular shots may not be Sir and Rumi, it's likely that the real Carter family twins did appear during home videos displayed at the couple's shows.

(Peep those two babies in what appears to be footage of Jay and Bey renewing their vows. 👀)

There is, of course, the possibility that the couple staged fake home movies for this tour. But since we definitely see their eldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter in the clips, we're guessing that the real Sir and Rumi were along for the ride, too.

Until Bey shares an updated Instagram post of the twins, at least we have this photo of the pair at one-month-old to cherish.

Bey and Jay's OTR II Tour, which kicked off Wednesday in Cardiff, Wales, will make stops around the world until its end in October.
