Ford's electric F-150 Lightning revealed early at Biden speech
If you watched President Joe Biden speak about his $174 billion electric vehicle plan Tuesday, you may have missed Ford's never-been-seen electric F-150 in the background.
Biden spoke at the Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan, where Ford's new F-150 Lightning pickup truck is set to be revealed on Wednesday evening.
Until the president's remarks, the highly teased F-150 Lightning had been kept under wraps, literally — last week Ford only revealed the truck's nameplate.
After his speech, Biden got to test drive the Lightning. Sadly, the truck was wrapped up in camouflage, obscuring a full view.
A few news outlets tried to discern any telling details from the quick glimpse. But ultimately the White House live feed only showed the front grille and not much else.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The full reveal will be livestreamed at an event on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
