'Big Brother': New fall season heading to CBS All Access

The latest expect the unexpected moment from Big Brother?

The long-running summer reality television show, currently in its 18th cycle, will be coming to CBS All Access, CBS' digital platform, this fall. (Fans shouldn't fear: The show will also continue to air on CBS during the summer like normal.)

The 19th cycle will feature new houseguests, and longtime host Julie Chen will be part of the new edition.

“Big Brother is an incredible success on the CBS Television Network and has always been ahead of its time when it comes to fan engagement,” Marc DeBevoise, president and chief operating officer of CBS Interactive, said in a statement. “Already, the Big Brother Live Feeds are some of the most popular content on CBS All Access and with this new digital edition we will explore ways to reimagine this format for multiplatform audiences.” 

This will mark the first time a streaming service airs a reality competition, and it will be the third original content effort for CBS All Access, in addition to the upcoming original series Star Trek: Discovery and a spinoff of The Good Wife.
