The Big House is back again, bringing the biggest names in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Smash 4 to the biggest tournament in the Midwest for three days of Smash action.

Running Oct. 7-9, The Big House 6 features names like Mango, ZeRo, Hungrybox, Armada, Lucky, Plup, Nairo, Mew2King and the return of Swedish powerhouse/trash-talker Leffen. The event in Dearborn, Michigan has tournaments in Melee singles and doubles, Smash 4 singles and doubles and crew battles where regional teams-of-five fight each other in 1v1s for glory.

The action starts at 11 a.m. ET Friday and continues throughout the weekend, with the crew finals happening Friday night at 11 p.m. ET, Smash 4 doubles playoffs 7 p.m.-11 p.m. ET Saturday, Smash 4 singles playoffs and Melee doubles playoffs 4 p.m.-7 p.m. ET Sunday and Melee singles playoffs 7 p.m.-10 p.m. ET Sunday.

All the action will be broadcast live on Twitch between three different broadcasts. The Melee playoffs will be broadcast by VGBootCamp and the Smash 4 playoffs will be broadcast by Unrivaled Tournaments. Other matches will be broadcast on VGBootCamp2. A full schedule is available online.

With so many big names showing up to the Melee singles event, it's impossible to know who will walk away as the winner. Mew2King won the last major, Shine 2016, which also saw Evo 2016 champion Hungrybox and top player Mango get beaten by SFat. Armada is still a force to be reckoned with as well, coming in second at Evo 2016 and first at Smash Summit 2.

Big House 6 also marks the return of Leffen, who has been unable to compete in the U.S. since October, 2015 due to visa issues. In a video he posted to YouTube Wednesday, Leffen said he would be coming to Big House 6, although he may be a little rusty.

Each of these players has the potential to win big at Melee singles, and there's always the potential for rising players like Shroomed, Plup or Westballz to pull out some upset victories and make it all the way to the finals.

In the Smash 4 side of singles, the biggest names to watch are Shine 2016 winner ZeRo, Super Smash Con 2016 winner Nairo and a handful of championship contenders including Dabuz, Abadango, Mr. R and Ally.

While The Big House 6 isn't the biggest or most prestigious Smash tournament in the world, its grassroots development and feel represents where the Smash community comes from. Starting in 2011 with barely over 100 competitors, The Big House has grown over the past five years to be a must-attend event for the top players in the world. Nearly 1,600 players have signed up for Melee singles alone this year.
